Atlanta Trip

Alright, so some of you know that I took a weekend getaway to Atlanta with some friends. I thought I would post a few pics from that weekend on here. We had a great time. We started the trip with a visit to Katherine's home town - what a great place to grow up! Then we headed out for Atlanta and went straight to the spa. I had a facial and it was delightful! Then on to a day of shopping and lastly out to dinner. We stayed at an awesome hotel that even had an Escalade to cart us around in. So we didnt have to worry about getting anywhere. It was definitely a fun weekend.

Studio Lighting!

Alright... there isnt anything special about these pictures... It was around 8:30 last night and Kaylen was ready for bed. We were all upstairs and so I decided to get my new studio lighting out and give it a try. So this is what I got from my little sleepy head. No smiles or anything but I really like the lighting! I am looking forward to actually doing photo shoots with it!

Here are a couple pictures of the cake...I wasnt all that pleased with it. Granted these pictures are after we took the cake apart and then realized we hadnt taken any pictures of it. So we had to put it back together... hence the finger marks! It was supposed to look like two books stacked on each other... she sort of did what i asked... not really. I didnt expect white books either. oh well... everyone else liked them and Kaylen didnt even know she had book cakes!

She loves her Noah's Ark Little People. If I would have taken them away from her she would have screamed and the picture wouldnt have been so good! :)
She wasnt super excited about the cake experience.
She was so dainty with the whole cake process. She didnt want to get all icky! we had to put her hand in the cake for her and she still never really got in to the whole thing!
These are a couple of pictures of Kaylen towards the end of the party. She isnt as much the socialite as her parents are. All that commotion made her sleepy! But all in all, we had a blast!

Kaylen - 11 months old!

This year has really flown by! Kaylen and I did a photo shoot the other day. I got inspired after taking pictures of my friends newborn. I hope you enjoy this random assortment of my beautiful darling!

Kaylen - almost 11 months!

Time is just flying by and Kaylen is almost 11 months old! That is so hard for me to believe! This has been the fastest year of my life! These are just a few pictures of Kaylen and me this morning before I went to work. She is just getting so darn cute! She laughs so much these days and is always just full of joy! Even when she was sick... she was still smiling...

Kaylen fell asleep while she was eating!

I know I havent posted in a while so I decided to give you guys a few little snapshots of Kaylen at dinnertime. She just fell asleep WHILE I was feeding her! She probably has food in her mouth that she hasnt even swallowed yet! On another note... she got her first cold over Thanksgiving. :( Her temp got up to 102.5! She is on an antibiotic now and is doing better but still extremely snotty! Stay tuned for our christmas light pictures!

NEWS!!!!

I dont have a picture today but... I would like to let everyone know that Kaylen walked last night! I put her arms length away from me and let go... she came running to me! I screamed so loud that it scared her! That didnt keep her from doing it over and over again though. Sometime she never really had her balance... she just ran and fell into my arms but sometimes she did actually walk to me. She was sooo cute! Just thought I would share my good news with all my many readers! She is 9 months old for a few more days! ;) So now I can say she started walking at 9 months... sort of... Have a great weekend everyone! More pics to come! Btw... I miss all the comments... is it because I havent been posting as much lately? I think I should broaden my site content if I want more comments... any suggestions? I need dialog... all I do is talk to 7th and 8th graders all day!

Era Day at my school...

Well, I didnt dres up for halloween this year but I did dress up for Era day... what ever that means!?!?! I dont think I need to break out the hair dye just yet! I am trying to upload some pics of kaylen from halloween but for some reason I am having a tough time! kaylen Walking... sideways!

alright... so i am rather retarded when it comes to all this new technology... i created a youtube video of kaylen walking with the walker... first thing i did wrong... i turned my camera sideways... how dumb was that!?!?! anyway, so i am going to try again and get her right side up! anyway, second thing i am confused on is getting the video embeded on my website... i copied the html stuff that youtube gave me and then pasted it on the edit html tab of the create post area and nada... what am i doing wrong all of my technology savvy friends... jodi? i know you know! so for now here is my link of kaylen walking...
